🇬🇧 [The course is taught and examined in English] 🇬🇧


This course was designed so that students can deepen their acquaintance with English-speaking culture issues through the learning of terminology related to culture and the arts, always within their historical context, so that they can become seamlessly familiar with the contemporary international relevant bibliography. Texts related to arts and culture will be studied, followed by a variety of language exercises and open, free activities, which aim at the balanced linguistic empowerment of students and their ultimate proficiency in English in terms of scientific fields of interest, in oral and written language, always in a pleasant way. They are also expected to develop their skills in critical thinking and effective scientific research.

  • Critically analyze authentic material related to culture
  • To successfully apply all 4 language skills (reading, listening, oral-writing) in their communication.
  • Combine the specific terminology related to the subjects investigated by the Department of Critical Writing with the writing of criticism
  • Organize the production of academic writing in English
  • Compose public oral presentations in English
